General Questions
Booking, safety & visiting OXYNEST
Are these therapies safe? +
Yes. Every session is supervised by certified clinicians using medical-grade equipment, with a screening consultation before your first visit to ensure suitability.
How many sessions will I need? +
It depends on your goals. Some patients book single restorative sessions; others follow a curated multi-session programme designed during your consultation.
Can I combine the therapies? +
Absolutely — many patients pair Infrared Sauna with HBOT or Hydrocolon Therapy. We'll sequence them safely as part of your personalised plan.
Do I need a doctor's referral? +
A physician's referral is not mandatory for general sessions. However, for Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy indicated for a diagnosed medical condition — such as non-healing wounds, neurological injury, or post-surgical recovery — a referring doctor's documentation is strongly advised. This allows our clinical team to review your medical history, assess contraindications, and administer HBOT at the appropriate pressure and duration for your condition.
Where are you located? +

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT)
Breathing 100% oxygen under increased pressure
Before your session
What should I eat before HBOT? +
Have a light, balanced meal 1–2 hours beforehand — do not arrive on an empty stomach. Low blood sugar is more likely under pressure, especially for people with diabetes. Avoid a large, heavy or greasy meal right before your session.Aligned with Mayo Clinic and UHMS pre-treatment guidance.
What should I avoid before HBOT? +
- Carbonated / fizzy drinks and alcohol for several hours before.
- Smoking and nicotine — they constrict blood vessels and reduce the therapy's benefit.
- Excess caffeine.
How should I hydrate? +
Arrive well hydrated — drink water in the hours before. Good hydration supports oxygen delivery and keeps you comfortable during pressurisation.
What about my medications? +
Continue your prescribed medication unless your doctor advises otherwise, and tell our team about everything you take. A few medicines (certain chemotherapy agents, disulfiram and some others) require clinical review. If you have diabetes, check your blood glucose before and after, and bring a snack — HBOT can lower blood sugar.Discuss any medication concerns with your physician and our clinical team.
What should I wear for HBOT? +
You must wear your own 100% cotton clothing — the clinic does not provide any garments. Cotton is required for fire safety in the oxygen-rich chamber. Avoid synthetics, nylon and wool.
What must I remove or leave out? +
For safety, do not wear or bring:
- Petroleum products, perfume, deodorant, hairspray, makeup, nail polish or lotions.
- Jewellery, watches and hearing aids.
- Phones, e-cigarettes, lighters and other electronic or heat-producing devices — these are not permitted inside the chamber.
What should I bring? +
Your cotton clothing, prescription glasses if you need them, and a referring doctor's notes if you have a diagnosed condition. Cotton-safe reading material is allowed.
When should I arrive? +
Please arrive 15 minutes early. On your first visit this allows time for screening, an ear-equalisation briefing and a short orientation to the chamber.
Who should check with us first? +
Tell us in advance if you have a cold, congestion or sinus trouble, recent ear or chest surgery, any lung condition (especially an untreated collapsed lung), or if you are pregnant. These need clinical review before treatment.
During your session
What will I feel during HBOT? +
As the pressure rises you'll feel fullness in your ears, like an aeroplane taking off. You clear it easily by yawning, swallowing or gently "popping" your ears — our staff guide you through this. After that, you simply relax and breathe normally.
What can I do inside the chamber? +
Rest, sleep, listen to audio or read. Sessions usually last 60–90 minutes. Trained staff monitor you continuously and you can speak with them at any time.
What if I'm uncomfortable? +
Tell the operator straight away if your ears hurt and won't clear — the pressure can be paused or adjusted. Our walk-in chamber feels spacious, but if you ever feel anxious just let us know and we'll keep you at ease.
After your session
What should I eat and drink after HBOT? +
Have water and a light, balanced meal. Most people feel completely normal; some feel calm or a little tired. If you have diabetes, re-check your blood sugar afterwards.
What should I avoid after HBOT? +
Avoid alcohol and smoking. There are no other special dietary restrictions.
Can I drive and resume activity? +
Yes — you can drive and return to normal activities right away. Brief, mild light-headedness or ear "popping" can occur; sit for a few minutes if needed.
What about follow-up care? +
Complete the full course recommended in your plan — benefits are cumulative. Report any persistent ear pain, sinus pressure or changes in vision to our team.Guidance aligned with Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic and the Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS).
Infrared Sauna
Radiant heat for detox, circulation & recovery
Before your session
What should I eat before the sauna? +
Eat a light meal or snack 1–2 hours before. Avoid a large, heavy meal right before sweating, and don't sauna on a completely empty stomach.
What should I avoid before the sauna? +
Avoid alcohol beforehand — it impairs heat regulation and hydration. Skip heavy caffeine and any recreational substances.
How should I hydrate? +
Pre-hydrate well — drink 1–2 glasses of water in the 30–60 minutes before your session, as you'll sweat significantly.
What should I wear, and what does the clinic provide? +
The clinic provides two towels only — no clothing or garments are supplied. Wear minimal, light clothing or swimwear, or wrap in the towels — less clothing lets the infrared work most effectively. Remove jewellery and metal items, which can heat up, and remove makeup for best results.
What should I bring, and when should I arrive? +
Bring a change of clothes (and your own water bottle if you like). Arrive about 10 minutes early to change and settle in.
Who should check with us first? +
Seek medical clearance first if you are pregnant, or have cardiovascular disease, low blood pressure, or take medication that affects heat tolerance.
During your session
What should I expect during the sauna? +
Sit or recline on a towel and relax as gentle infrared warms you from within. You'll begin to sweat after 10–15 minutes. Sessions run 20–45 minutes and the cabin stays more breathable than a traditional steam room.
How should I behave for comfort and safety? +
Use the second towel to wipe sweat, breathe slowly and stay relaxed. Sip water if you have it. Step out immediately if you feel dizzy, faint or unwell — never push through discomfort.
After your session
What should I drink after the sauna? +
Rehydrate generously with water, and add electrolytes or coconut water to replace minerals lost through sweat.
What should I eat after the sauna? +
Once you've cooled down, a light snack with fruit or a balanced meal is ideal.
What should I avoid after the sauna? +
Avoid alcohol and excess caffeine straight afterwards (both dehydrate), and don't jump into intense exercise immediately.
How should I recover, and how often should I come? +
Cool down gradually, shower, and rest — a brief cool rinse refreshes you. Regular sessions (2–4 times per week) give the best cumulative circulation and recovery benefits.Guidance reflects published infrared-sauna research and standard thermal-therapy safety advice.
Hydrocolon Therapy
Gentle, supervised colon hydrotherapy
Before your session
What should I eat in the days before? +
For 1–2 days before, favour light, easily digested foods and increase fruit, vegetables and water. Reduce processed and gas-forming foods.
What should I avoid on the day? +
Avoid gas-producing foods (beans, cabbage, carbonated drinks) and don't eat a heavy meal within about 2 hours of your appointment. Avoid alcohol.
How should I hydrate and prepare? +
Drink plenty of water in the days before — good hydration makes the session more comfortable and effective. Use the restroom to empty your bladder just before your session.
What should I bring or disclose? +
Bring a list of your medications and disclose any medical conditions. Loose, comfortable clothing to change into afterwards is ideal. Please arrive 15 minutes early for a brief health screening.
Who should not have Hydrocolon Therapy? +
It is not suitable during pregnancy, or with recent bowel/abdominal surgery, severe haemorrhoids, active gastrointestinal disease (such as a Crohn's or ulcerative-colitis flare), or certain heart or kidney conditions. Our team will screen you carefully first.
During your session
How is my privacy protected, and what does the clinic provide? +
You lie comfortably on a treatment couch in a private room. The clinic provides a medical privacy sheet/wrap solely for your comfort and modesty, covering the genital area throughout the treatment. Your dignity is protected at all times.
What should I expect during treatment? +
Warm, filtered water is gently introduced to soften and flush waste. You may feel mild fullness and the urge to go — this is completely normal. A trained therapist supervises the whole session, which lasts about 40 minutes.
How do I stay comfortable? +
Breathe slowly and tell your therapist about any discomfort — water temperature and flow are adjusted for you, and gentle abdominal massage may be used to ease the process.
After your session
What should I eat and drink after? +
Start with light, easily digestible food — soup, steamed vegetables, fruit or a probiotic yoghurt — and reintroduce fibre gradually. Keep hydrating with water; herbal tea is fine.
What should I avoid after? +
Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and heavy, greasy or spicy food for the rest of the day.
How will I feel, and what about recovery? +
You may pass a few additional bowel movements over the next several hours — this is normal. Rest, avoid strenuous exercise immediately afterwards, and consider a probiotic to support healthy gut flora. Your therapist will advise whether a short course suits your goals.Guidance reflects standard colon-hydrotherapy practice and general gastroenterology safety advice — always disclose your medical history.
